Stephen Coon


Stephen completed his Architecture degree from Newcastle University in 1992. His first employment was in a large Sydney practice, where he worked on high-rise apartments, commercial buildings and other large-scale projects. In 1997, Stephen returned to Newcastle where he took up a position as a Project Architect with Seymour Lawler Architects, managing projects at various stages from design concepts to working drawings to site inspections during construction. This exposure enabled Stephen to broaden his skills and gain competence as an Architect capable of managing all facets of the profession. Stephen became a Partner in Mark Lawler Architects in 2011.

Stephen maintains an open, friendly approach with all Clients. He listens to their needs and bounces ideas and options around so the design process is interactive, leading to the solution that satisfies the Client. Stephen is a registered Architect with the NSW Board of Architects and is an A+ member of the Australian Institute of Architects.
