The Junction Residence

Located in The Junction, this house is situated on a small corner site is a prototype for smaller inner urban lots. In some ways, this house is a development and improvement of a traditional terrace house. The house is open and spacious, with the exterior revealing little of the surprisingly large spaces that are contained within.

Often in design, a difficult problem can be taken as inspiration for and an unusual solution. This house is an example of such an outcome. A small, cramped, inner-city site has been developed with an unusual house design which provides more living space than was first thought possible. This house is an example of what can be achieved by creative design and original thinking and not attempting to apply inappropriate, preconceived design.
