Belmont North Residence

Originally constructed in the 1980’s, this house exhibited all the qualities its era with many decorating cliches on show. The arrangement of the interior was complicated and most spaces had little connectivity to one another. A swimming pool also required replacement as it was located too far from the house and did not permit proper supervision.

A  large new swimming pool became an axis point with existing spaces rearranged to be more open and free flowing with better access to light and ventilation. A reconfigured kitchen, dining room and outdoor living take advantage of a spectacular view over the pool to secluded, landscaped, gardens beyond. The pool was designed with two large glass viewing panes, visible from the new downstairs bar and cinema area, creating a breath-taking vista both night and day.
